Oh, the blog hop at Crazy-for-Books.com. Everyone else is doing it…shouldn’t you?
This week’s question, “If you find a book you love, do you hunt down other books by the same author?”
I have to say, in the past, yes, this was where most of my reading list came from. If I found a book I really liked, I would march down to the library and find every book that author had ever written and get busy. But since entering the world of book blogging, not so much. There’s just so much to choose from, so many books to constantly be added to my TBR pile that focusing on one author just seems like too much.
Also, I like variety in my reading too much to spend a lot of time reading one book after another by the same author. So, yes, eventually I might read every novel by Wendell Berry, and then move on to his poetry. But I’ll probably do it over the course of like 10 years, rather than 3 months.
If you’re coming by on the hop, stop back next week for the debut of a new blog hop, right here at You Think Too Much, called Blog In Place. A blog hop that asks folks to write about the places they live, the places they love, the places they hate, the places they feel they belong…just a place-happy hop in today’s far-flung, virutal world.
